A bit of History
November 2002 will mark Wheatly Grand Squares 38th Anniversary.
Mark & Eileen McDonald as Caller/Cuer with organizing help by Grant & Dorothy Bell started the club, which danced in Bell's basement.
Eilleen recalls that Mark and she danced with Dave Mitchell and Merry Mixers. She is now an avid bridge player and has many memories of her square dance family.
Since our existence, we have danced in Romney Women's Institute Hall, Romney Central Scool, and our newest home at the Tilbury Leisure Center (since '97).
We have enjoyed dancing with the following callers & cuers: namely, Jim & Ruth Wood, Bill & Marge Bell, Joyce & Lee Davidson, and our present staff of Colin & Joy Aram, Dorothy & Ayerist Malott and Dave & Brenda Alway.
We look forward to renewing acquintances, meeting new friends and dancing in your square.
